The Wiltern is a unique part of L.A.'s architectural history. With its turquoise terra-cotta tile and exquisite art deco design, it could easily befit an architectural museum. Opened in 1931, the building was almost at the mercy of the wrecking ball in the 1970s but thankfully escaped that fate to become the popular music venue it is today. In the past the 2,300-seat theatre has also hosted stand-up comedy, dance performances and award shows. Currently managed by Live Nation, the Wiltern presents shows nearly every night.
