The An family of Crustacean fame (we still crave those garlic noodles) has taken over the café space in an office building on Colorado Avenue. It’s an order-at-the-counter spot, where the breakfast and lunch menus are focused on healthful Asian fusion dishes. We envy the folks who work around here: Steamed cod with bok choy is luscious, the banh mi with beef or chicken has a jalapeño kick, and the roasted half jidori chicken comes with Chinese long beans and moisture to spare. The manicured courtyard seating area skews minimalist and calm, while the interior—with concrete floors and rustic repurposed wood—bustles. For now the dining action is largely a daytime affair, though an early dinner starting at 4:30 is offered two nights a week, and a happy hour with Asian small bites takes place in the bar area from 4 to 9 on Thursdays and Fridays.
