Profile
There's a Louis Vuitton–inspired banquette, a ten-foot-tall faux-rock fountain, and plenty of funky pieces of Tokyo-pop art. For a strip mall spot Miru offers a surprising parade of flashy delights. Expect jumbo shrimp in a citrus-tomato glaze or a mountain of broiled eel stacked with avocado. Steaks are good, and tuna and lobster sushi rolls are draped in silky yellowtail sashimi with curled slivers of ahi and decorated with cherry and strawberry morsels. The waitstaff takes your Polaroid and pins it on the dining room wall.
