Not only is The Daily Pint L.A.'s greatest scotch bar, it is its most unassuming. Monday Night Football is heavily promoted, and the place resembles a hole-in-the-wall overripe for a makeover. Beneath the sagging plywood ceiling, British-born owner Phil McGovern offers about 400 drams, ranging from a 1954 Gordon & MacPhail Mortlach to a 1981 Macallan Speymalt. McGovern, who opened the bar 25 years ago this summer, still presides at complimentary tastings from the likes of Glenrothes and Auchentoshan.
