Some of L.A's best boxers, including Manny Pacquiao and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., call this place home, but trainer Freddie Roach makes everyone feel welcome at his Wild Card Boxing Club. More than 500 regular folks come for the pure boxing experience. No glitz. A ring and a forest of bags. Roach has taught Mickey Rourke and was a consultant to Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale for their roles in The Fighter. Though he assigns newcomers to assistants, the legent watches every move himself.
