Best Jewelry Supply, August 2010
Downtown’s jewelry district is flush with gemstones, so it’s no surprise that this is where we discovered Bella Findings House, a Home Depot-like emporium for hobbyists and jewelry trade professionals. The 30-year-old business has two locations within blocks of each other, crammed with gold and sterling chains, earring settings, clasps, and a bright mix of freshwater pearls, rubies, rose quartz, and Swarovski crystals. The shop also sells tools, gold testers, and cleaning equipment. Service is efficient—no gum-smacking teens behind the counters—and prices can range from a few cents a bead to thousands of dollars for a strand of diamonds.
