Best Kids' Haircut, September 2005
They’re trucked into a funny-smelling place, plunked onto an odd contraption, and forced to sit still while some stranger with large, shiny scissors snips away at them. Why shouldn’t toddlers be horrified by the mere mention of a haircut? But tears are sparse at Lollicut, a spacious kids' salon where the walls are covered with colorful murals of Disney characters, the seats are elevated Barbie cars and Jeep Wranglers, and the view is a big-screen TV showing Barney and Shrek. There’s also a clean, carpeted area filled with games and toys to keep crawlers and toddlers occupied before and, if need be, after the $18 cut. Just don’t forget the cookies and lollies on the way out.
