Best Batting Cages, April 2007
Little League may be baseball’s first proving ground, but batting cages are where budding stars hone their game. The Simi Valley Batting Cages are a would-be slugger’s paradise, from the 13 stalls to the variety of pitching machines: “wheels” that spit the ball at the plate and Iron Mikes that simulate a hurler’s motion. The indoor-outdoor facility offers hardball and softball classes and an equipment shop that sells bats, gloves, and rosin bags. Among Major Leaguers who’ve practiced here are Jered and Jeff Weaver, although players of all ages and abilities are welcome.
