Best Hollywood Bowl Parking, June 2005
We like the idea of stress-free shuttle service the Bowl provides from Chatsworth and Rowland Heights and Lakewood but hate to give up the freedom our chariot affords us. To stay mobile, choices include stacked parking, which guarantees long exit times, price gouging, or walks through badly lit neighborhoods. The Hollywood United Methodist Church is in a convenient locale, offers quick escapes, and can’t overcharge (it’s probably in the Scriptures). Donations are usually $5 to $10, depending on the event. Administrator Mark Stephenson says people “like giving to the church. We get a lot of repeat customers.” He recommends early arrival to secure one of the 100 or so spaces. Some patrons even attend services afterward.
