Best Kid-Friendly Farmers Market, August 2008
Your children will be less inclined to finger-paint with mustard when they see the activities geared to the younger set at the Studio City Farmers Market. The petting zoo, pony rides, bounce house, train ride, and face painter on the eastern end have earned it the nickname “the stroller market,” and there’s live music, tables for chowing down on crepes and tamales, and two booths selling kids’ clothing. One specializes in Petit Bateau overstock; the other has more embellished designs. Aside from the fresh produce, the market also offers homemade mac and cheese, sold frozen, from Paddymac.
