Best Lowrider Meeting Spot, August 2012
For decades Elysian Park's Avenue of the Palms near Dodger Stadium has been home base for the city's lowrider scene. Along this palm tree-lined stretch, car club members, auto aficionados, and spectators still gather on Sunday afternoons and evenings to show off their sweet rides. Some things have changed over time. Air bag suspension is now widely favored over hydraulic lifts, and the scene has become more family oriented with barbecues and games, but the iconic image of the city's legendary car culture remains as vibrant as ever.
