Cruising the Boulevard?

Duck into these nightspots

Let’s Dance
Bardot
The swank nightclub/sweaty three-ring circus has a tented outdoor lounge and rooms for dancing, couch crashing, and posing. Guest DJs play house beats and classic hits on Tuesdays (for Mr. Black, the hottest local gay club night), Wednesdays, and Saturdays, while live music acts rock Mondays and Fridays. ’1737 N. Vine St., Hollywood, 323-462-1307.

Dive In
The Frolic Room
Charles Bukowski was a regular at this storied hole-in-the-wall next to the Pantages. Winos, hipsters, and German tourists come for cheap drinks, heavy pours, and a ’90s-influenced jukebox. Oddly, it’s downright convivial. ’6245 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, 323-462-5890.

Game Play
Dillon’s Irish Pub & Grill
Yep, there’s a sports bar on the boulevard. This dimly lit, mahogany-paneled joint is Hollywood’s version of an Irish pub. Pints (more than 30 beers on tap) will set you back just $3. On game nights expect crowds four rows deep. ’6263 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, 323-315-9744.
