ROW DTLA will debut their own Farmers Market, POP Produce, on Saturday, July 14th from 9am to 2pm.  POP PRODUCE combines a favorite LA locals’ activity of perusing Farmers Markets with family and friends with the popular wave of pop ups hitting the city. Pop Produce will pop up over Summer to Fall and feature fresh produce, food trucks and DJ sets within the restaurants and retailers ROW has to offer on their private street – Market Row. The event will be open to the public and all ages. Marline Millanponce-Camarena, Property Manager of 7th Street Produce Market  says “Produce is forever. No matter if you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat lover – all diets need produce. With the launch of Pop Produce, we want to put a fresh spin on Farmers Markets in Los Angeles by blending the historical produce market with the energy and vibes of the new Downtown LA Arts District.”

The complex at Seventh and Alameda was built between 1917 and 1923 along the Southern Pacific Railroad and opened as the Los Angeles Terminal Mart. At one point, most of America’s produce came from this sprawling concrete complex. The historic market is still going strong over 100 years later and continues to be a major hub for produce distribution across the region. The 7th Street Produce Market boasts over 80 vendors open to restaurants, chefs and the general public Monday through Saturday from 12 midnight – 12 noon.
