Shop and Feast on Whole Pig at Craft
Forget cake. Roast pig is the celebratory dish for the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market’s 30th birthday party. Craft chef de cuisine John Keenan and team will cook the swine on the restaurant’s outdoor terrace on July 31 for guests who can also shop for produce from some market regulars including Coleman Family Farm, Schaner Farms, and Jaime Farms. Aside from pork consumption, there will be local beers and wines, live bluegrass, and an auction from Peter Fetterman of the Peter Fetterman Gallery at Bergamot Station. Items up for bid include gift certificates to Craft and Craftbar and cooking lessons from the chefs. Tickets go for $150 per person.
