Pok Pok’s Thai Stir Fry and Five Other Dishes You Can’t Miss at the Thai Food Fest

This upcoming Sunday, September 29, L.A.’s Thai community lets loose on Paramount Studios to celebrate the flavors, colors, and heat of Thai food. Local chef Jet Tila is not only in the Guinness Book of World Records—he’s also the first and only chef to be named Culinary Ambassador of Thai Cuisine by the Royal Thai Consul General. There should be no doubt that the man knows Thai food. Tila will be serving Chiang Mai Khao Soi, or braised beef curry noodle soup to hungry attendees, but here’s what he’ll be waiting in line for at next Sunday’s event.
❶ Blue Crab & Sweet Corn Green Curry from M.B. Post
❷ "Pang Gee" coconut cakes, "Kanom Beuang" dessert tacos, and "Ruam Mit" from Bhan Kanom Thai
❸ "Kua Kling," dry curried chicken and rice from Jitlada
❹ "Suki Haeng," Thai stir-fried glass noodles with napa cabbage, sprouts, spinach, Chinese celery, tofu, and eggs, with a chile-bean curd sukiyaki sauce from Portland's famous Pok Pok.
❺ Isaan tuna ceviche from Night + Market
❻ "Khao Ka Moo" pork leg over rice and "Palam Long Song" meat and vegetables from Siam Sunset
