LAX: Believe it or not, a sample airline menu from the 1960s could include anything from tenderloin steak to broiled lamb chops. Santa Monica: Santa Monica’s newest Thai vegan spot, Satdha, comes to us from former Bulan chef Gunn Pankum. Downtown: The Wolf and Crane are characters from Aesop’s fables which, in Japanese folklore, represent protection and prosperity. The Wolf & Crane, on the other hand, is a combination of Sapporo and Johnnie Walker Red served at Wolf & Crane, Little Tokyo’s newest full-service bar. Hollywood: Susan Feniger and Kajsa Alger make their triumphant return this Saturday with Mud Hen Tavern’s grand opening. Buena Park: After over a year delay, Orange County welcomed the newly rebranded Eight Korean. Formerly known as Palsaik (which translates to “eight colors,” for their eight different pork marinades), this is the second major AYCE KKBQ joint to open on the city’s slowly modernizing Beach Boulevard.
