Ventura: The Jolly Oyster, Ventura’s very own seafood shack, now offers prepared food options via their newest addition – the Jolly Oyster Kitchen. The new food truck sits right next to the original shuck shack at the San Buenaventura State Beach Park. Pasadena: Today is the grand opening of Pasadena’s newest coffee shop, Copa Vida. Founded by the guys behind Cafe Dulce (Frank La and Sam Hong) plus Steve Chang, the space features floor to ceiling windows, wooden accents, and plenty of floor space. The trio are serving a fine selection of coffee from L.A. and around the country, including Ritual, Verve, and 49th Parallel. There are teas galore here too, and even teas on tap. Santa Monica: The West side’s newest American-style spot, Redwood Grille, opened its doors this past Wednesday. The restaurant’s 2,500 square foot patio offers views of the Third Street Promenade as well as the Pacific Ocean. Pasadena: Just in time for National Ice Cream Sandwich Day (who knew?), Coolhaus is opens another brick & mortar spot today in Pasadena. Downtown: Two weeks ago, Grand Central Market welcomed a new gourmet popsicle cart. Sweet Clementine’s can be found on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays serving up flavors like chocolate chili, raspberry basil, and lemon buttermilk.
