Dessert and Drink Pairings at Café Demitasse — 11/14 |
Get your citrus granita and caramel crémeaux fix at Café Demitasse. Between 7 and 10 p.m., the Little Tokyo-based coffee shop will pair a variety of drinks with its house-made desserts, including chocolate-hazelnut biscotti, baked pears, and rum truffles. Stag’s Leap Wine Pairing Dinner at Cafe del Rey — 11/14|
Cafe del Rey has invited noted Napa Valley-based Stag’s Leap to pair their wines with a seasonal meal by the restaurant’s new executive chef, Chuck Abair. The $90 fall fête features soft-shell crab; a pork trio of belly, tenderloin, and pig’s ear; and apple pie with an orange cream cheese crust. Seating is limited; reservations are recommended. Volunteer at the L.A. Food Bank with Ludo & L.A. Bites — 11/16|
L.A. Bites Hunger, an independent organization, brings chefs and food lovers together to participate in group volunteer days at the L.A. Food Bank. Chefs like Ludo Lefebvre, Michael Voltaggio, Ricardo Zarate, C.J. Jacobson, Michael Cimarusti, and Laurent Quenioux have volunteered at past events. Join them—it’s for a great cause. Thanks for Giving Blind Wine Dinner Series at GORGE — 11/19 – 20

At this holiday tasting, pair mystery wines with dishes from a $110 prix-fixe dinner menu, including a wild mushroom tart, orange duck confit, and a pumpkin and almond macaron.
