Uber Ice Cream – 7/19
Tomorrow, the popular smartphone car service, Uber, is partnering with local ice cream trucks to offer their users bundles of creamy treats. For $36, Angelenos can order enough Carvel ice cream for six people, directly from their iPhones or Androids. Ice cream trucks will be on the road from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information.
Cooking with Chef Mirko Paderno at Oliverio – 7/20
Take a trip to Italy this weekend for an interactive cooking lesson followed by a classic Italian meal. During this $65 class, Oliverio’s Chef Mirko will teach attendees how to make and roll authentic Italian pasta dough. Guests will then enjoy the dishes they have just prepared along with various Italian wines. Reservations are required. More information.
Cast Iron Cookware Class at Winnetka Farms – 7/20
Come out to Winnetka Farms this Saturday for an in-depth lesson on how to use, maintain, and restore cast iron cookware. For a $30 fee, learn new cooking techniques, watch live demonstrations, and troubleshoot cast iron. Do you own a problem piece of cast iron? Bring it to class and Winnetka Farms will give you recommendations on how to restore it. Light food and beverages will be served. More information.
Kali Dining at Stella Marina del Rey – 7/19, 7/20, and 7/21
This weekend look for Kali Dining to pop up in Marina del Rey. Chef Kevin Meehan will prepare a five-course meal. BYOB. The menu is chef’s choice, and a $65 minimum donation is requested. More information.
National Junk Food Day at LA Market by Kerry Simon – 7/21
Take a break from your summer diet this Sunday and celebrate National Junk Food Day at downtown’s LA Market by Kerry Simon. The restaurant will honor the holiday with a Junk Food Platter ($17) featuring coconut bounty, cotton candy, Snickers cake, and more.
