Freebies on Veteran’s Day: Krispy Kreme, Applebee’s, and More

Just present your military ID or wear your uniform.

During World War II, the Red Cross gave soldiers free coffee and donuts. In 1942, under pressure from allied countries, the Red Cross abruptly started charging for their fried fritters in an attempt to keep things fair between soldiers of all countries. Needless to say this left a bad taste in American soldiers’ mouths. Ever since then, donutteries have offered free coffee and donuts to our men in uniform on Veteran’s Day. So, don your uniform or show military ID in order to score a Krispy Kreme of your choice on November 11 at all participating Krispy Kreme locations

Other chains offer similar deals on Veteran’s Day:

Applebee's: Vets eat free all day.

California Pizza Kitchen: Vets are entitled to a free pizza on November 11.

Outback Steakhouse: Vets can get a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage.
