Finally! L.A. Gets Its Own Whiskey

We’re sure some quality moonshine emerged from the claw-foot tubs of Hollywood’s silent film era, but now L.A. has a legal whiskey worth pouring. Greenbar Collective, the city’s first distillery since Prohibition, has begun bottling an organic white whiskey called Slow Hand. Eric Clapton has sworn off the stuff, but for the rest of us, the clear spirit that’s spent a scant ten minutes in oak has a bright, boozy kick. Expect a brown version next year.
