Music Video Monday: inc. – “Black Wings”

Why do we keep imagining the slave city in Game of Thrones?

Bonfires and barnyard animals reign supreme in “Black Wings,” the new video from pensive, gossamer-voiced brothers Daniel and Andrew Aged, better known as inc. (Maybe it’s because the season three opener of Game of Thrones is still fresh in our minds, but did all the chunky metal chains remind you of the slave city of Astorpor?)

The Mt. Washington duo’s debut album, No World, features the sort of sexy, stripped-down soul that’s kissing cousins with the music of Rhye, another local duo that recently released a spectacular first album.

A music fest for the rest of us:
returns with its 3rd edition in the heart of DTLA to once
again serve all of those who don’t have the dough for a
    weekend in the desert.
Don’t miss what the LA Times recognized as the community
experience that skips “the mortal terror of your credit card
statement [at other festivals]” and “revels in staying at
home.” Doubling in size year to year,
2013 is sure to yet again swarm with a giant crowd,
the best of acts from LA and beyond, mouth-watering eats
and surprises galore. Last year’s Main Stage featured
Infantree, LA Font, Rumspringa, Big Moves and yOya, among others.
Inside, bands played all day to packed crowds, while DJs led an
army of dance fiends at the Jarritos stage outside. Come be a
part of the oh-so-cheap magic, all happening on 4/20/13.
