Marc Maron Talks TV Tonight

L.A.’s crankiest comedian (maybe) visits the Paley Center

TV Comments

It’s been a busy couple of months for L.A.’s resident cranky comedian Marc Maron. His second memoir, Attempting Normal, was published in late April. Maron, his eponymous TV show, debuted on IFC days later. He got engaged. And the WTF Podcast that rebooted his career in 2009–and which he still produces from his Highland Park home–will broadcast its 400th episode next week.

Given all that, it seems Maron, whose confessional, self-lacerating style permeates all his creative endeavors, should have plenty to say during his talk tonight at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. Comedy Nirvana! An Evening with Maron will feature not only the man himself but a panel of writers, producers, and fellow comedian Bobcat Goldthwait. The crew will discuss and share clips from the show, the last three episodes of which are set to air in the coming weeks.

The live program begins at 7 p.m. Fans who can’t make it in person can stream the talk starting at 7:30 p.m.
