Charity Seeks Tornado Relief Donations from L.A. Residents

We Angelenos experience our fair share of natural disasters, so we understand how valuable disaster assistance is. That’s why it seems only natural that a Los Angeles-based foundation has begun raising funds for Alabama tornado relief.

The series of tornadoes that struck Alabama in April was classified a Category 1 natural disaster and left hundreds dead. Many residents lost their homes. Tara Gray, a former Miss Alabama USA and current resident of Los Angeles, decided to create a charity that would bring the two communities together. With LA 4 AL, Gray hopes to raise $100,000 in donations by the end of July.

LA 4 AL is a non-profit charity with all donations being divided between the Alabama Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund (GERF) and the City of Pleasant Grove Relief Fund. If you’d like to make a donation, visit
