Secrets Of The Inland Empire Revealed

Pomona is a larger city than Santa Monica or Pasadena, but beyond the L.A. County Fair, how much do you know about it? David Allen has spent years digging up stories from hidden corners of the city for his column in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. Next month he will release an updated version of his book Pomona A to Z. I was particularly captivated by his mention of the Rainbird Rainforest (a real-life bio-dome?), the secret cemetery at Spadra, and Tony’s French Dip, which a Yelp user describes as “Philippe level.” That sounds like enough for a weekend field trip right there.

Please do not call Pomona part of the inland empire. Pomona Valley or San Gabriel Valley is appropriate.
