Vin Scully, Heartbreaker: The Baseball Icon Passes Up Free Hugs
The Dodgers announcer went out of his way to avoid complimentary cuddles in Frisco earlier this week
We love to love him, but don’t hug him: During Tuesday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants, Dodgers announcer Vin Scully jovially recounted a run-in with a gaggle of Free Loving ladies advertising hugs on the house. Speaking of dodging, Scully went out of his way to avoid a complimentary cuddle:
"No, no, no, no. No, I crossed the street. No, no. But it was really charming, and I thought, Where else but in San Francisco would you see a group of ladies marching down, singing 'Free Hugs'?"
Listen to the legendary announcer tell the full story during Juan Uribe’s second-inning at-bat.
