The Shot Doctor is In
ESPN confirms the NBA has given its thumbs up to the hiring of coach Glenn “Doc” Rivers by the Clippers. The L.A. team has reportedly signed the former Celtic’s coach to a three-year contract worth $21 million. In exchange for releasing Rivers early, the Celtics will receive a 2015 first-round draft pick. Rivers will replace Vinny Del Negro, who lead the teams to 56 wins last season but was let go when the team failed to advance to the second round of the NBA Finals.
Bear Mountain and Snow Summit ski resorts have quietly gone on the market, with the latter announcing it has retained investment bank Houlihan Lokey to help position the destinations for potential buyers. Little else is known about the company’s move to sell at this time.
Is Malibu’s Most Expensive Rehab In Need of Rehab?
City officials are looking to stage an intervention that would prevent Passages Malibu, a luxury rehabilitation center, from using pool houses and guest houses as rehab dwellings for five or six patients. Malibu City Hall is claiming some of the center’s state-provided licenses were “obtained through misrepresentation.” Passages Malibu declined to comment to Santa Monica Daily Press.
