CitySpeak: Failure Wall
Defining the buzz-word or phrase of the week
Failure Wall
n. A public wall on which a person confesses or admits past “failures” by writing them down.
The Los Angeles Times this week featured a story about Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. head Jeff Stibel’s unconventional management style. To “encourage creative risk by embracing failures,” Stibel has asked employees to write on a Failure Wall at the company’s Malibu office.
This practice is somewhat related but not to be confused with: Pet Shaming.
