We Angelenos experience our fair share of natural disasters, so we understand how valuable disaster assistance is. That’s why it seems only natural that a Los Angeles-based foundation has begun raising funds for Alabama tornado relief.
The series of tornadoes that struck Alabama in April was classified a Category 1 natural disaster and left hundreds dead. Many residents lost their homes. Tara Gray, a former Miss Alabama USA and current resident of Los Angeles, decided to create a charity that would bring the two communities together. With LA 4 AL, Gray hopes to raise $100,000 in donations by the end of July.
LA 4 AL is a non-profit charity with all donations being divided between the Alabama Governor's Emergency Relief Fund (GERF) and the City of Pleasant Grove Relief Fund. If you’d like to make a donation, visit LA4AL.com.
