What happened to the figures after the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park closed down?

When the museum’s klieg lights were extinguished in 2005, auctioneers collected a cool million selling off the figures. Roseanne Barr carted away her own likeness, while Krikorian Cinemas bought Harold Lloyd and the Wizard of Oz quartet, now at the company’s Pico Rivera multiplex. Michael Jackson, O.J. Simpson, and Little Richard are on display at the Black Facts & Wax Museum in the Crenshaw District. Liz Taylor as Cleopatra, Christopher Reeve as Superman, and Shirley Temple aboard the Good Ship Lollipop are still inside the moldering museum, which is owned by the City of Buena Park. There are structural issues in the abandoned building and the roof is failing, but one system is kept operating at any cost: the air-conditioning.
