Ask Chris’s Tour Guide Book Binge: A Diplomatic Guide To Los Angeles

Valley resident Jaak Treiman loves showing international visitors the hidden treasures of Los Angeles. He has taken dignitaries, consuls and even political prisoners to landmarks like the Watts Towers and the Broadway theaters, but also to even more off-the-beaten path joints like the San Antonio Winery and Woody’s BBQ. His collection of tours has been compiled into A Diplomatic Guide To Los Angeles. A great guide book and reminder of places we should visit more often (I wonder what’s playing at the Pasadena Playhouse?) and places like the Finnish folk art museum that we’ve always wanted to visit. Slip this one in your glovebox and wow your holiday out-of-towners.

This is a superb, well-written guide to a city that I have grown to like, because of the sites and seeings discussed in The Diplomatic Guide to Los Angeles. I strongly recommend the book for anyone interested in its day adventures for getting to know LA outside its freeways. Thanks, Chris, for reviewing and sharing the gem!

Ps. I love the dog in the cover too.
