Fred Willard's Celebrity-Spotting Rules of Etiquette
If you're not sure who the celebrity is, please don't approach with the question "Aren't you someone?" or start with "Remember me?"
Don't ask "What have I seen you in?" This conversation never ends well. [Editors' note: You've seen him in nearly every Christopher Guest movie.
When you request a photograph, know how your camera works. When you want an autograph, have a pen handy—and something to sign.
One-autograph limit, please. One-minute conversation limit, please. Never reveal how young you were when you first saw said celebrity.
For celebrities only: Be happy to smile and sign, and be friendly to anyone who claims you're their favorite, even though you both know it's not true.
