RGB Cosmetics/Nail Stylist Jenna Hipp Meet Cute
Having garnered a cult following for its eco-friendly, fashion-forward nail polish hues like Steel (a cool grey) and Toast (a mushroomy taupe), L.A. cosmetics line RGB has joined forces with celebrity nail stylist Jenna Hipp to create Hipp x RGB Nail Foundation, a collection of four makeup-inspired nail polishes debuting this fall. The line was created to compliment every skin tone from fair to dark and like foundation, it consists of four creamy nude shades: F1, F2, F3, and F4 (left to right in photo). “On editorial shoots, people were always requesting I use nude shades [on my subjects] because it looks so clean but nude doesn’t look like nude on everyone—and so my search began,” says Hipp (left in photo with Carney), who only uses toxin-free nail polish brands and has worked with everyone from Jennifer Aniston and Michelle Williams to Rachel McAdams. “This was a perfect match,” says RGB founder Gina Carney who began working in retail at Barneys New York in Chicago and moved to L.A. to launch RGB in 2009. “We both have an eco-friendly approach and wanted to create something that wasn’t out there.” Each shade retails for $16 and will be available at Face Place in West Hollywood or on the RGB Web site.
